Pune: Two men were arrested for robbing a 26-year-old man, a resident of Sangvi, of money and gold, worth Rs 2 lakh, at an open parking area in Pimple Gurav around 6 am on Thursday.The victim is a native of Manipur, working with a private bank and staying alone in Pimple Gurav.Sub inspector Mahadev Bhalerao of Sangvi police said, “The victim had interacted with one of the suspects on a dating app meant for gay men. They chatted with each other and decided to meet in the parking area.”“The two men arrived in their SUV, and once the victim was seated, didn’t allow him to leave. They forced him to transfer Rs50,000 using his UPI application and also robbed his gold chain, worth Rs1.5 lakhs. We have arrested both the suspects and have seized the SUV in which the victim was confined before being robbed,” he added.
